MAKEAR No HEMA. No TPO. No Worries.
Gel polish manicures are today’s standard — beautiful, long-lasting, and convenient. But are you sure what you apply to your and your clients?
Why is this important?
Many nail styling products contain ingredients that can be allergenic or even banned. That’s why it’s crucial for you to check the ingredients of the products you use. Remember, manufacturers are required to list the ingredients on their products and also provide them on their website.
What is HEMA?
HEMA (hydroxyethyl methacrylate) is a popular monomer used in bases and gel polishes. While it is allowed for sale, it can cause skin allergies.
What is TPO?
TPO (triphenylphosphine oxide) is a substance responsible for curing products under UV light. But... starting from September 2025, it will be banned across the European Union. According to the EU regulation (REACH), TPO has been added to the list of substances that are not allowed due to:
- Potential carcinogenic effects
- Toxicity to the body
- Negative environmental impact
Makear is one step ahead of regulations!
In our products:
- You won’t find TPO – we already meet the future EU regulations.
- There’s no HEMA – we avoid risky ingredients, even if they’re not banned yet.
- We focus on modern, safe formulas that protect your health and the health of your clients.
- We care about the comfort of nail technicians – no allergies, burning, or irritation.
Why is this important for your salon?
Choosing safe products isn’t just about health; it’s also about professionalism and trust:
- Gain client trust – more and more clients are asking about product ingredients
- Build the image of a modern and responsible salon
- Protect yourself – as a nail technician, you are exposed to chemicals every day
